The Gold Standard in Early Literacy

At Premier CCLA, language and early literacy are woven into every part of the day, not as a separate subject, but as a natural thread running through everything children do.

The Science of Reading draws on decades of research into how children learn to read. This evidence-based approach guides our literacy instruction, helping children become confident, capable readers through explicit, systematic teaching.

Our instruction focuses on the five pillars of reading:

Phonemic Awareness – hearing and manipulating sounds
Phonics – connecting sounds with letters
Fluency – reading accurately and confidently
Vocabulary – building language and word knowledge
Comprehension – understanding and thinking critically about text
