About Premier Childcare Learning Academy

Our program is grounded in the Creative Curriculum and the Science of Reading, two of the most respected, evidence-based frameworks in early childhood education. Every classroom at Premier CCLA is a literacy-first academic environment where books, vocabulary, language, and meaningful learning experiences are woven into every moment of every day.

At the heart of our academy is Mrs. Schament Reid, the founder and director of Premier CCLA, and the visionary behind everything we do. Mrs. Reid brings over 20 years of experience nurturing and educating young children. Her deep commitment to literacy-first early education is embedded in every aspect of the Premier CCLA program.

  • Bring professionalism, reliability, and punctuality to the classroom every single day 

  • Have at least 1 year of experience working with young children in an early education setting

  • Hold a CDA, TCC, or coursework in Early Childhood Education, an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred

  • Have exposure to or experience using sign language and/or Spanish in a classroom setting - preferred but not essential

  • Are warm, patient, and nurturing while maintaining clear, consistent expectations

  • Take initiative, communicate professionally, and work effectively as part of a team

We are currently recruiting for the following positions at our Smyrna, GA academy:

Lead Teacher

Location: 395 Russell Drive SW, Smyrna, GA 30082 

Type: Full-time / Part-time 

About the Role

This is not a babysitting position. This is a teaching role, and we are looking for an educator who understands the difference.

As Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a structured, literacy-rich learning environment where two-year-olds develop language, early literacy skills, independence, social-emotional competence, and a love of learning. You will implement purposeful lesson plans, lead daily read-alouds, engage children in meaningful conversations, and incorporate songs, rhymes, sign language, and Spanish vocabulary into daily routines.

You will be a consistent, reliable, and professional presence in the classroom, because children this age thrive on structure and security, and their development depends on it.

What We Are Looking For

✓ CDA, TCC, or coursework in Early Childhood Education — required

✓ Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education — preferred

✓ Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children — required

✓ Experience with sign language and/or Spanish — strongly preferred

✓ Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practice for two-year-olds

✓ A genuine commitment to literacy-first, research-based early education

✓ Reliability and punctuality 

✓ Warm, nurturing, and patient with clear and consistent expectations

✓ Professional communication with families and colleagues

✓ Must pass all required background checks

✓ CPR/First Aid Certification — preferred or willingness to obtain

Assistant Teacher

About the Role

As an Assistant Teacher at Premier Childcare Learning Academy, you will work alongside our Lead Teachers to support the delivery of our literacy-first, research-based early learning program. You will play an active role in the classroom, engaging children in language-rich interactions, supporting read-alouds and learning activities, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and building positive relationships with children and families.

This is a role for someone who is serious about early education, someone who understands that every interaction in a young child's day is an opportunity to build language, confidence, and academic foundation.

What We Are Looking For

✓ Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children — required

✓ Some coursework or qualification in Early Childhood Education — preferred

✓ An understanding of and commitment to literacy-first early education

✓ Experience with sign language and/or Spanish — preferred

✓ Reliable, punctual, and professional

✓ Warm, patient, and genuinely invested in children's academic and developmental progress

✓ A team player who communicates effectively and takes initiative

✓ Must pass all required background checks
